We purposefully offer low cost, affordable monthly pump hire for families in and around Teignbridge. Our breast pump hire is for anyone wishing to express breastmilk as part of their feeding journey.
The breast pumps we have available for hire are the Ardo single electric breast pump.
They offer 64 combinations of speed and suction to meet your individual requirements and comfort. They are also BPA & BPS free.
They're a 'closed system' meaning they're perfect for hiring as they don't risk cross-contamination between mums and parents who use them.
We hire out pumps by the month and Grace (our Director) can offer breastfeeding peer support and is able to signpost to other support services available should you need extra support.

Each kit includes:
Breast pump with a mains plug set
Sterile pack of tubes
Bottle
A 26mm breast shell
Instructions and videos on how to use it
All pumps are mains operated, although you can add your own batteries if you wish to go wireless.
Pumps are hired per month.
The initial hire price is £20.50 for a 4 week hire. If you require a longer hire we can provide this at an additional cost of £10 per month.
If you need additional sterile sets, we can arrange for that too. The cost per additional set is £10.
Collection
Our kits can be collected from either Kingsteignton (exact location shared after completing the booking form and payment received) or at one of our Nurture and Nest sessions.
"I was so delighted to be able to hire a hospital grade pump from The Fourth Trimester CIC, when my son was going through a phase of bottle rejection at around 3-4 months. I applied on the website and was both amazed and so relieved to get the email that a pump was available the next day.
My son had already been diagnosed with Cows Milk Protein Allergy and stopped tolerating his prescription formula after months with no issue. Whilst we found another formula he would tolerate it was such a relief to be able to comfortably, painlessly pump and provide him with safe milk to encourage him to take the bottle once again and to give me some flexibility to be able to leave him with another caregiver if I needed to.
I had tried a manual pump before and found it so painful and awkward, I was really struggling with anxiety and stress around our feeding issues and was considering stopping breastfeeding as soon as we could get him to take a bottle, but through using the pump we have been able to find a balance, get through this tricky time and I am still breastfeeding post-6 months thanks to the support of Grace from The Fourth Trimester. The Fourth CIC Breast Pump Hire Terms and Conditions
Please read through these terms and conditions of hire, and remember to reread if you hire again in the future.
I agree to:
Pay the hire fees for the item I am hiring for the period I requested.
Return the item on the date it is due back.
Renew in advance if I am unable to return an item on time.
Pay the hire cost for any renewals or late fees for any item not renewed or returned on time.
Take care of the item I have hired
Contact The Fourth CIC for help if needed.
Prices are reviewed annually. In the event that we increase prices while you have an item on hire you will not be expected to pay the increased rate until your current hire has elapsed, or if you renew an item then you can pay the old rate until 3 months have elapsed. If you continue to hire the same item beyond that point you will be charged the new price going forward. If you fail to renew and the item is late you will be expected to pay the new rate from the date the original hire ended.
Your personal data is only used for business purposes such as keeping track of hired items and contacting you regarding your hires. Your data will not be passed onto a third party for marketing purposes, and will only be used for business processes such as taking agreed payments.

Breast Pump Hire
Breast pumps are the property of The Fourth Trimester Postpartum CIC
Initial hire cost is £20.50 – this covers a 4 week hire and a “sterile pumpset” which is yours to keep. (Should you not require a sterile pumpset you may pay £10 per month from the outset).
Subsequent hires/renewals costs £10 for 4 weeks as you already have the pumpset.
If you wish to double pump or if you lose any parts you may purchase an additional pumpset for £10.
If you need to keep the pump for longer you agree to contact The Fourth CIC so that we can update our hire records and invoice you for the additional hire.
You will not be charged for general wear or tear, however if a pump is damaged through accident or carelessness or lost or stolen while on hire you will be liable for the full retail cost of replacement (including shipping costs if necessary) in addition to any fees paid/owed.
Peer supporters at The Fourth CIC are not medically qualified. We can offer information regarding feeding and pump use but you should always seek medical support where necessary.
If a pump is not returned within 3 months of the original due date and we have been unable to contact you and/or have not received payment on request and/or a payment plan has not been arranged and adhered to it will be considered stolen and we will follow legal processes to recover it (or its value) and any late fees owed if applicable. You will continue to accrue hire fees until legal proceedings start. Additional costs may be incurred and will be charged to you in this situation.
